To this end, the website for the campaign “Yes to free sex (free of infections)” offers full information on these illnesses, collated in consensus with health organisations as part of the Sexual and Reproductive Health Strategy (ESSIR).

Despite little change in the levels of STIs during the pandemic and the drop in HIV infections in recent years, illnesses such as chlamydia and gonorrhoea have increased significantly to reach record figures, according to the Barcelona Public Health Agency (ASPB). The situation of syphilis and lymphogranuloma venereum is also being monitored.
